Dude what the fuck is it with parents letting their kids just run around restruants like a fucking playground. it fucking sucks i'm sitting in portilos trying to eat and i have like forty fucking kids running around me yelling and screaming its like fuck you all. now i like kids and all but when parents are like do what ever the fuck you want and run around. FUCK!!

5:51 pm - getting fucked . . . and not in the good way!

so here is my gripe today, so like 10 weeks ago i applied to consolidate my student loans right, i was told the whole thing would take 6 weeks, so i was like cool no problem so my first payment was due during the 5-6th week so i called and asked oh should i make a payment or is this going to screw me in the end they told me not to make a payment that the loan would just take care of it. I was like ok no problem like cool. then i get a notice around week 8 you defaulted on my payment but don't worrie just make a double payment on your next one and everything will be fine. so I was like ok no problem like cool. so i called the company that i'm trying to consolidate with and there like well its going to take alittle longer then we thought the gov. is backed up right now then i asked ok should i make the payments on my gov loan then and they were like know your really close to the line if you make those payments it will fuck you in the end. so i was like well then is it going to go though before my next payment is due and they were like yes. and i was like ok cool. so today i get an email telling me that i have no missed TWO PAYMENTS on my gov. loan (week 10) and i'm like what the FUCK. so i call the the company and i'm like what the fuck and they're like oh you need to get a forbarence on your gov. loan because the loan won't make it though the red tape in time . . . . you should have done that when you applied for the loan! and i'm like WELL i'm fucked .... and not in the good way! so now i have to call the gov. and say i need to not make the payments that i haven't made!
Moral, everyone is out to fuck you. (Or just guys because i think only girls read this)
Consolidate your loans the first week after you graduate....Otherwise you'll be FUCKED and not in the good way!

So i guess its been a really long time since i've done one of these. so what should i put in it? Why is everyone getting married! one of my other friends just got engaged. i'm growing up to fast i want to be back in my nice safe fish bowl. Where everyone knows my name. . . oh wait thats just like the last one i did. . . . ok so sound track to my summer has been Fall Out Boy mixed with the Killers, and some depressing moody songs.
So i'm going to be down in peoria for the next two weekends I'm turning into one of those guys that just can't stay out of the college life even after he graduates, you know Dave, :-D so look me up because there is no one up here to hang out with and i'm going though withdrawl!

Ok first off I’m going to tell you where this rant comes from just so you can have a frame. One of my friends sent me an email telling me that she was "scoping out God's plan for her", now I love this friend to death, but I always find it a little funny when someone who is so evangelical Christian like her says this, and this is why:
I'll start with the less offensive stuff, the most important thing a christen believes is that, there is one god. The basis for the whole monotheistic belief system. So let’s look at this first assumption, there is only one god, there for if there is only one god then it’s a safe assumption that he/she/it would be the only god. Well that leaves 2/3 of the earth’s population without a deity. Is it safe to say then maybe that this one god manifested itself differently to other people depending on how it would be accepted? Now if this is true then other religions would worship or celebrate the same god. Thus we are all the same faith we just have different religions.
Oh and just for the record even if this isn't true, one thing is, Jews Christians, and Muslims all worship the god of Abraham, Hence THE SAME GOD !!! So no more of this my god is better then yours bullshit, There is no way of knowing even if they are different gods!
Ok now for the subject that I know will put allot of people who read this on defense, though I think that Lauren, Kim, Abby and Julie are the only ones that do so I’m at no risk of fully offending any of them and if I do please tell me and I’ll try and set it straight.
So the Bible. . . . Was written down somewhere between the year 130 BC and 440 BC. Before that, most of which was oral tradition. Now we've all played telephone, and we've all been on the misrepresented side of a bad rumor. There is no way that it is 100% free of human intervention. I don't even have to dispute that it was divinely inspired, I just have to let you know that first off The bible was originally was consolidated by emperor/pope Consitien (sorry about the spelling) who only converted to Catholicism to consolidate power and control over his empire. And I should also bring up how do you know that all the books that were divinely inspired made it into the bible. Now I’m not saying that there aren't very good lessons to learn from the bible I’m just saying that you have to take everything with a grain of salt. And remember that all great books have been used to control the public.
People tell me that it says in the bible that homosexuality is bad. I've never been able to find this passage. But may I remind you that in the time the New Testament was written roman life was slowly pushing out Jewish culture. At this time it was common practice to say that things that were good for hygiene and preserving a culture were mandated by god. Who would disobey god. Homosexuality was practiced by the Romans and at the time may have had some sort of hygiene based bad effects. Hence like kosher laws it was banned. just as eating fish on Fridays was enacted for two reasons the first and most practical, fish is healthy and provides nutrients that are not as concentrated in other foods, and two most Christians were fisherman to begin, and the church owned vast shares of the fish markets (the same reason that you should only by us products)
In the bible it says that Jesus says the most important lesson is to love thy neighbor as thy self and to above all love thy god. And let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Love thy neighbor. THIS MEANS DO NOT SET YOURSELF ABOVE ANY OTHER PERSON!!! NO MATTER WHAT, if they are gay, a different race, a different class/cast, or a different religion. We are no better then the next person. AND only a person without sin, a person who has never done anything they are ashamed of and has lived a perfect life can rightfully judge anther person. But as soon as you cast that first stone, you are not loving your neighbor as thy self.
Ok this is getting pretty long. Future topics may include:
The pope wasn't infallible till sometime in the 20th century.
The immaculate conception (when Mary was conceived)
God created everyone differently why would he give us a one-size fits all religion
I heard a very profound statement once.
Religion is the colonization of the mind. Faith is the true path to enlightenment!

12:57 am - Just a Random Thought

So I was driving home from Julie’s when I noticed something that I should have noticed a long time ago. If you turn the support our troop’s magnet on its side it looks very much like a Jesus fish. And this got me thinking. Is this just a random or was this deliberate. I mean so many things around us have Christian meanings already but is this just anther way to set in stone that we are a Christian nation.
And after this thought, I went back to my old thoughts of how far we are from a Christian nation, if indeed we are one. I mean, "Love thy neighbor as thy self". How would "good Christians" react if we were invaded by a communist country and told that we needed to get rid of our short term dicktator government and replace it with a worker centered commune? And would they appreciate it if some police force came in and took away all their guns and other means of defending themselves against oppression. and also what kind of "Christian" president gives an 80 billion or million (I’m not sure) tax break to the oil companies then cuts funding for programs like social security, and other social programs.
Well this could go on for ever. But hey that’s why I started this whole thing... but I won't blow my load on my first post I’ll save more of my rants for later.

12:02 am - Draft Riots

So like the big nerd I am I was listening to NPR sometime recently and they did a report on how the Army had missed its recruiting goals for the past 6 or so months. They also mentioned that if this continues this may require the draft. Now maybe it’s just me and the fact that I’ve been listening to this CD that one of my brother’s former students made for him while studding the Vietnam War, the CD is a collection of protest songs, but I think that enforcing the draft is the most unproductive way to get bodies into our military. Now I’m sure that it will come to no surprise to any of you that I’m pretty anti-war as well as anti-military, but what may come as a bigger surprise is that I actually come from a sort-of military family. My grandfather was in World War I, my dad was in the Air Force just before the Koran War and my oldest brother went into the Air Force as well and my brother-in-law is currently serving in the Navel Reserves, oh and my best friend in High School is a Sergeant in the Army Reserves (all of which I am very proud of) but all of these people WANTED to go into the military. Someone who has been forced into conscription is of course going to be the worse solider the only way to get them to fight is to endanger on of the basic needs of men, in the far past it was either food or shelter, people fought over there land and the stores of food that was to get them though the winter. But now the military uses the less tangible and more susceptible need. Safety. Here they remove the feeling of being safe by placing you in dangerous situations to trigger that primal instinct to get an individual to fight. It is this type of fighting that makes the worst soldiers because they are not fighting for anything but their own neck. Plus on a happier note there has never been an installation of the draft without Draft Riots.
